Enjoy a half-day Kuching City and River Tour. Highlights include Chinatown, Tua Pek Kong Temple, the Cat Statue and the Civic Centre viewing platform. Visit the renowned Sarawak Museum which includes the Natural History Museum and Sarawak Art Museum. Explore heritage sites like the gold-domed City Mosque, the Pavilion, Court House, Square Tower, Post Office and the Charles Brooke Monument. Stroll through the old city’s spice and textile shops, then cruise along the Sarawak River to see landmarks such as the Astana, the former residence of the White Rajahs. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Embark on a fullday tour of Bako National Park. Located about an hour and a half from Kuching, the park is home to seven distinct ecosystems and abundant wildlife, including proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs (leaf monkeys), macaques, flying squirrels and monitor lizards. Hundreds of bird species and unique plant life, such as pitcher plants and mangroves, thrive here. Explore the park via its marked trails and admire the scenic coastline against rugged hilltops. Return to the hotel in the evening with the rest of the day free to relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Head out on a full-day tour of Bau, located 22km from Kuching. This former gold mining town is also historically significant as the site of the Chinese Rebellion in 1858. Discover the captivating limestone caves including Fairy Cave, known for its stalagmite resembling Kuan Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy. At Wind Cave experience the constant cooling breeze and marvel at the intricate limestone formations. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight for this visit. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Depart for a 3-day/2-night adventure to Batang Ai and Ukom Longhouse. Along the way, pass through picturesque countryside dotted with paddy fields, oil palm plantations and pepper farms. Stop briefly at Serian Town and later for lunch at Lachau. Continue to Batang Ai Hydro Lake where you’ll take a boat across the lake to the Engkari River, arriving at the Ukom Longhouse after a 40minute journey. This traditional 30door longhouse on a hill will be your home for the night. Enjoy dinner, followed by a cultural performance and a taste of Tuak, the local rice wine. Overnight stay at the Longhouse.

Start your day with a blowpipe demonstration and an opportunity to try it yourself. Take a walk near the longhouse to learn about the local plants and their cultural uses. Weather permitting, enjoy a short boat trip and a 5minute walk to a nearby waterfall. Savour a traditional Iban lunch cooked in bamboo and spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the Longhouse.
